ARC-EN-CIEL Day Care Center, the small school with a big heart, will host a Holiday Toy, Clothing & Charity Fundraising Drive on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its South Brookline/Jamaica Plain location to benefit Toys for Tots, Rosie’s Place and the Salvation Army. The public is invited to drop off donations and enjoy a festive community breakfast provided by Dunkin’ Donuts, Fiore’s Bakery of Jamaica Plain and other local establishments while visiting the ARC-EN-CIEL Day Care Center, located at 61 Rockwood Street. Toys brought for donation to Toys for Tots should be new or gently used and unwrapped, to allow sorting by age and gender before distribution to needy children. Clothing for Rosie’s Place should clean, in-season women’s apparel, including nightgowns, slippers and new undergarments. The Salvation Army’s traditional red kettle will gratefully accept cash donations of any amount.
